No, that's not exactly it, their acid diminished them, it took reading Robinson and Brueggemann and the liberation theologians to begin to see the light. <br /><br />It took seeing Bernie Sanders on a national stage and the following that gathered round him to see through that stuff. Coming so quickly on the heels of Occupy, it's dismaying how shallow the secular left is, how saturated with amnesia it is, how it can be led by the nose by any ephemeral prophet of revolution. <br /><br />I think it will be good if some young people see this for what it is, it took me way too long.
