It is maddening beyond belief that Republican hypocrisy, corruption, double dealing, culture warring, and antigovernment bomb throwing as you put it has been all but invisible to the mainstream press since the 1990s. Historical failures of national security, failed wars, collapsed economies, pay for play scandals, damaging the credit rating of the country, and on and on - nothing mattered, as they represented REAL Americans.

But if a black Democrat puts Dijon mustard on his hotdog it is the subject of debate and armchair psychological analysis for a week. And did we mention that this effete anti-American sicko wasn't even born here, and eats pork and owns dogs to throw us off the trail that he's actually a Muslim? Never mind that he references his Christian faith more than any president in recent history, he is UNFIT to talk about the Gospel!

Oh well, we've got much bigger fish to fry now. Russia's version of alt-reality propagandist Steve Bannon, Konstantin Rykov, openly cheered last night to pro-Putin comrades that, with the election of Trump: "Washington will be ours." They know it, and the rest of the world knows it. And that's just one of the hundred or so crises looming before us right now.

Obama is my favorite president. I liked FDR too, but he put Americans in camps. Obama had integrity, character, vision, and grace in the face of unrelenting personal and political attacks, spurred on by conservative whites desperate that their control of the country and its demographics was slipping away from them.

Well now they've got it back. God save us all.

trexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16838170190127187564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9479398.post-56936345483834824272017-01-20T13:33:34.388-06:002017-01-20T13:33:34.388-06:00Obama is not my favorite president but he certainl...Obama is not my favorite president but he certainly faced the most concerted onslaught of racism any politician in our history has, and at the highest levels of what is mistaken as a responsible political party and the upper reaches of the media. Fineman is way over the top in what he said though I can agree with some of it.

I agree with what it says about Rahm Emanuel, who was a really bad choice for that position as he is for Mayor of Chicago. He certainly has proven as Mayor that he never had any intention of Obama fulfilling his promises on healthcare, etc. And he was certainly not the only bad appointment Obama made.

But that's past. We have to deal with the consequences. The Thought Criminalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01381376556757084468noreply@blogger.com
