But I recognize we hardly live in a golden age of democracy.<br /><br />Not that I buy all the nonsense about this being the death of marriage. Marriage is a real thing, which will persist, however many other relationships the law wedges into the category.<br /><br />And I guess I should add that I really hesitate about posting anything at all. I don't want to argue with anybody. I'd rather, most of the time, just the leave the thing alone.
