If you think Trump is going to force insurance companies to do anything, then you don’t understand government.Insurance companies won’t take less profit, they’ll just offer less coverage and cover fewer high risk people, then offer Trump kickbacks to look the other way.

If you think companies will take less profit, or Trump will force them to, then you don’t understand capitalism or… https://t.co/RL7LZd7HEN
Insurance is primarily regulated at the state level. What’s Trump going to do, sign a symbolic EO? Threaten their Medicare Advantage plans? (Is he even aware of those?) Trump stopped trying to get anything through Congress after his OBUglyB. He didn’t even want the Epstein files release bill to go through. He can’t get Congress to regulate health insurance that extensively even if he wanted to. And he doesn’t want to. All he can muster the energy for is to declare reality has bent to his needs. And yet everyone feels compelled to support his madness and fear, or complain about, his mighty rhetorical sword.
Trump will declare healthcare costs (or insurance costs, he doesn’t care. He uses the terms interchangeably because they mean nothing to him.) down and problem solved! Just like he declares inflation down and the country “dead” in 2024, and drug prices already down by 600%. Nobody’s ever seen anything like it! Or close to it. At all.
And yet we’re supposed to keep taking Trump seriously, and at his word. 🤷🏻♂️
I’ll retire to Bedlam…
You look at polling and it seems the public is at best skeptical about Trump and his agenda now, in spite of the sanewashing that goes on throughout the media. Coverage would be a lot different if the reporters were even just reflecting that skepticism, let alone take a more aggressive approach.
