Interesting Times

The tl;dr of this report is not that these administration officials are upset about ICE having murdered Renee Good (one still says, on background, that she was a "domestic terrorist"); it's that even these goons realize Noem's lies about the murder were so poorly crafted that people aren't going to believe all the other lies the administration tells the public.
How’s that working out for them? Or any other incident. Yes, that is about the Fed, not ICE. But it is all of a piece. The GOP is panicking over ICE and the Fed:
Republican Senator Thom Tillis blasts Trump for weaponizing the DOJ against Jerome Powell and the Fed:

"If there were any remaining doubt whether advisers within the Trump Administration are actively pushing to end the independence of the Federal Reserve, there should now be none. It is now the independence and credibility of the Department of Justice that are in question.

I will oppose the confirmation of any nominee for the Fed—including the upcoming Fed Chair vacancy—until this legal matter is fully resolved."
and probably Venezuela next (if not Greenland). There is no joy in Mudville. 'Cause you don’t fuck with the money. And you don’t shoot white women in the face, ESPECIALLY after they’ve just said: “It’s okay, dude, I’m not mad at you.” Not that ICE is learning that lesson:
"Sir! This is a warning!" the agent yelled as he punched the man's vehicle window. "Stop f—king following us! You are impeding operations! This is the United States federal government!"

"I live over here," the driver explained. "I got to get to my house."

"This is your warning!" the officer exclaimed.

"I serve the Lord; go to church," the resident replied.

"I will arrest you!" the officer threatened.

"Don't make a bad decision," another agent warned.

"I serve the Lord," the driver repeated. "Not a draft-dodging coward."

"Let these people go to church," the driver added. "Let these people serve the Lord and worship."

"You're not going to like the outcome of this, sir," the first officer said. "I guarantee that... Did you not learn from what just happened [when Renee Good was killed]?"

"Learn what?" the driver asked. "I serve the Lord, not a draft-dodging coward. I can't believe you'd take orders from a draft dodger."

"Make America safe again, brother," one of the officers quipped.

"Always," the driver agreed.
So all these reports of ICE being followed around town by “paid agitators” is probably just reports of … traffic? It’s time to not take anything anyone connected to this government says as truthful, or deserving of the benefit of the doubt. They aren’t just liars, they’re not reliable witnesses.

    There's no way this is about a sudden change of heart on the part of Republican-fascists who up to now have been all-in on Trump's dictatorship, this is off-year election tactics. Lisa and Susan and the rest would all go right back to where they were in March if they keep the Senate.

      Yeah. They’re just windsocks. But the wind is no longer in Trump’s favor. And it hasn’t been a full year, yet. He’s so determined not to be a lame duck he’s becoming one rapidly.
