The "reactionary colorblindess" of the right-wing justices has reached its logical conclusion in finding that it is racist NOT to let Louisiana—and any other state for that matter—discriminate on the basis of race in voting.

The racism is the point. It always has been.
Until the Marbury usurpation of power is taken away from those thugs in black robes, even the Civil War sized struggle for equality will be overturned by them in favor of white supremacy and the super-rich. America's so-called democracy was a total fraud until the Voting Rights and Civil Rights Acts and their associated laws were passed and the Supreme Court has nullified not only those but actual amendments to the Constitution.
