But now digital computers do those tasks. I don't think anyone is pining to go back and do calculations all day. So I think we'll see an evolution of roles.

DeleteOne of my relatives took advantage of Maine's renewable energy program and installed solar panels while the program was still funded. He's the only one avoiding the ever increasing electricity costs here - Maine has some of the most permissive "regulators" of public utilities you can imagine, they're largely crooks.
