C’mon, we’re all thinking it. About Netenyahu, I mean.WATCH: Hillary Clinton says if 🇮🇱 re-elects Netanyahu "🇺🇸 has to take a very tough position" with them, says he "failed to protect Israel" after ignoring a UAE warning and may have intentionally let 10/7 happen "so he could come down hard (on Gaza) and enhance his position" 👀 pic.twitter.com/g3dE3LxgrO

I have a lot of problems with Israel, just like I have a lot of problems with America. I don’t “love” either country, although that doesn’t mean my only other option is to hate them. That said, I can understand Hillary to be saying she doesn’t hate Israel, because we are only allowed dichotomous language in these conversations.Hillary Clinton: "I love Israel, and I hate Netanyahu's government and his policies. I love America, and I hate Trump's government and policies ... if the Israelis want to vote for that again, then I think the United States has to take a very tough position." pic.twitter.com/a7wKmZ4pEG

Hillary Clinton: "We have to look at our potential dangers, especially what Xi is thinking. 'They they can't defend anybody anymore because they don't have the capacity to defend. Maybe we can coerce Taiwan into just giving up because there's not going to be any support.' If you look at the world map right now, it is not favorable to the US. And in large measure, I would argue that's because of very wrongheaded decisions that are being made by this administration."

Hillary Clinton: "I thought the whole Republican mini-convention and Trump's speech was making the case for the Democrats. I think it actually helps us for people to see the contrast between what Trump is offering and what his administration has produced, and potential for change."
The trouble is the opposition is running to the right of Netanyahu these days. Israel was always bound to turn into a disaster. The original skeptics of Zionism and the critics of it as it started going this direction in the 1930s and 40s have been proved to have been right. It was bound to turn fascist as Jabotinsky advocated, Netanyahu's ideological grandfather, Bibi's dad was one of his goons.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this doesn’t end with Israelis welcoming Palestinians into their homes. They voted for Bibi more than once. They want this, and like Americans, they’re gonna get it. He’ll, we’ve been heading down this road since Goldwater. And where are all the people who wanted to drown government in a bathtub and impeach Earl Warren?
ReplyDeleteWell, they’re having their day. I hope the rest of us enjoy it.
