Oddly, or not, it wasn't unanimous among the faithless that they should be, some seemed downright hostile to the idea. My participation was to con gratulate them on discovering an issue that religions had found long before the year 1 AD (I always use AD when it's polemical atheists). I noted that one of the first things the early Jesus movement did was share the wealth and tell that new guy, Paul to "remember the poor".

The Thought Criminalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01381376556757084468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9479398.post-49518307628032074332016-04-18T15:10:56.801-05:002016-04-18T15:10:56.801-05:00I did some research once and found virtually every...I did some research once and found virtually every organized atheist group had tax exempt status, many of them claiming to deserve it because of their "educational" activities. James Randi's "eductional" Foundation, CFI, CSI(COP) - pretty much all of the alphabet soup groups that the godless-uncle of neo-atheism, Paul Kurtz started - some I suspect as tax havens as they seem to have had no real members. The atheist-neo-Nazi William Pierce, like some other atheists started a "religion" to use as a tax haven and as a base for making money, giving it the Carl Saganish name "Cosmotheism". It was and still is blatantly anti-semetic, anti-Christian and materialist-atheist.

I wonder how many of those would remain open for business if they were taxed.
