I am very disappointed in China. Our foolish past leaders have allowed them to make hundreds of billions of dollars a year in trade, yet...— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 29, 2017
...they do NOTHING for us with North Korea, just talk. We will no longer allow this to continue. China could easily solve this problem!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 29, 2017
These are not the powerful tweets you are looking for.
Please tell me this is a nightmare I can wake up from:
“What card left do you have to get China to act?” Fox News’ Bill Hemmer asked [White House adviser Sebastian] Gorka, after referencing an op-ed in a state-owned Chinese newspaper that downplayed the influence China has over North Korea. The "Mar-a-lago summit"? You mean when Trump got schooled on Korean history from the Chinese perspective, and he believed a pack of lies? Or Trump's masterful use of Twitter when Korea launched a missile test, and Trump was preoccupied with his failing Muslim ban, CNN, Mark Cuban, and Stephen Miller's public atrocities in the name of the Administration?
“We have the President’s Twitter feed,” Gorka responded. “We have the most powerful man in the world making it very clear that we came out of the Mar-a-Lago summit with very high hopes.”
Hemmer returned to Gorka’s earlier comment: “With all due respect, can a Twitter feed change the mind of those leading China?”
“If you can win a U.S. election with it, I think it’s pretty powerful, Bill, don’t you?” Gorka replied.
Please tell me somebody involved in foreign policy for this Administration is smarter than a bean bag.
Trump: I have no choice to say that about it. Malcom [sic], I am going to say that I have no choice but to honor my predecessor's deal. I think it is a horrible deal, a disgusting deal that I would have never made. It is an embarrassment to the United States of America and you can say it just the way I said it. I will say it just that way. As far as I am concerned that is enough Malcom [sic]. I have had it. I have been making these calls all day and this is the most unpleasant call all day. Putin was a pleasant call. This is ridiculous.Okay, well, outside of the Oval Office, then; maybe even outside of the White House.
Turnbull: Do you want to talk about Syria and DPRK?
Trump: [inaudible] this is crazy.
Turnbull: Thank you for your commitment. It is very important to us.
Trump: It is important to you and it is embarrassing to me. It is an embarrassment to me, but at least I got you off the hook. So you put me back on the hook.
Turnbull: You can count on me. I will be there again and again.
I won't feel safe until Gorka is deported back to Britland.
