This is why I don't listen to Trump's press conferences; but I had the radio on in the car, and it was a short trip, and too late, I heard him say it. He had to interrupt whatever prepared remarks he had about the dignitary he's holding the press conference with (why else would he talk to the press, except needs must?), to say once again that money "is pouring in" to NATO because he forced our allies to raise their defense spending to the 2% of GDP standard that all NATO countries agreed on as a target.
When, of course, nobody's spending works that way, or that rapidly, and the money doesn't go to NATO in Brussels; it goes to defense contractors who supply the materiel that money buys. And it no more "pours in" than a Congressional authorization to buy a new missile system means money "pours in" to the missile manufacturer.
Our President is dumber than a box of rocks and has a third-grader's understanding of how the world works.
Oh, and there was this:
Comey, Trump said at a joint press conference with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, “confirmed a lot of what I said. And some of the things that he said just weren’t true.”
So when you like what he says, he's telling the truth; and when you don't, he's lying?
Exactly. One of these two men is lying.— Mikel Jollett (@Mikel_Jollett) June 8, 2017
I wonder if it's the guy who served 3 presidents from 2 parties or the one who said Obama is from Kenya? pic.twitter.com/UBlJFw4zae
