It still bugs me that "Republicans support pre-existing conditions!" What, like cancer or asthma or lupus? Who the hell "supports" pre-existing conditions? Private insurance is the reason we even have the term. Life is a "pre-existing condition."
The thing to support is medical care for all, regardless of income, employment, or social position; or race, gender, creed, age, etc. We provide that for the elderly, even though my daughter is paying for her grandmother's Medicare (whatever my mother paid into it has long since been expended). Why do we limit access to medical care on this primary basis of age?
