After all, what he's celebrating is signing a new law that reverses an ordinance in San Antonio which banned Chick-Fil-A from the city airport. In other words, "big" government overruling local government. You know, the one closest to the people.
The Texas Constitution was written by populists disgusted and despairing of the power of railroads, just before the Robber Barons took over as the business power in America. Now the state kowtows to fast-food chains in a faux populist effort to own the libs.
As if the City Council of San Antonio was a hotbed of liberalism.
