And then what?

A lawsuit brought by protesters who contend they were roughed up by security personnel outside Trump Tower in 2015 has become an urgent problem for President Donald Trump’s legal team after a New York judge ruled Friday that Trump must submit to a videotaped deposition in the case.
....

Trump’s lawyers could ask the judge to delay the trial or appeal to try to block the order demanding the president’s testimony. There’s also the chance of an emergency appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court or that Trump might simply ignore the judge’s order and see what sanctions she imposes.

And then what?  McConnell folds, and impeachment becomes a real possibility?  Pat Toomey goes on MTP again and says its' a "private matter" and we shouldn't get involved?  The White House insists the POTUS is indeed "above the law" and no elected GOP official so much as blinks?

This is becoming a problem the Congress can't solve (gee, when has that ever happened?).  It's not going to be solved because Pelosi allows impeachment hearings to go forward.  It's not going to be solved by censure by the House (though that would bug Trump no end).

This is a problem that has to be solved at the ballot box, because we have a President who doesn't recognize the rule of law, doesn't understand the rule of law, doesn't care about the rule of law.  He doesn't even understand his role in government.

Because, as Pat Toomey told Chuck Todd, these conversations between government officials with dozens of people on the line and taking notes and even making a verbatim transcript of the conversation, are "private."  Or, according to Trump, "None o' your goddamn bidness!"

"Trust me!  Don't trust them!"

And just for lagniappe, the cost of defending this President continues to go up:
