Bernie on CNN: “Outside of the South, we are doing very well.”— Peter Hamby (@PeterHamby) March 3, 2020
Like I said, it's a big country. And you don't really have to carry the South to get to the White House. But you would have to carry every other state not in the "South" (boundaries subject to argument), and Bernie so far is only getting 25% of some of the Democratic primary vote. If that number remains steady but the opposition drops to Biden and Bloomberg, Bernie is not getting more of the vote.
And Biden pulled ahead of Bernie on vote count with South Carolina alone. So "outside the South" may not leave him much to stand on, either arguing he deserves the nomination because of delegate count, or because of raw votes (I've heard him argue it both/and as well as either/or, within recent weeks).
Maybe he should tell us again how he's gonna repeal all state and federal drug laws with an executive order.
I have to come back and drop this here:
Anderson Cooper just asked Bernie Sanders if Trump is right that Dems are staging a coup to stop his nomination.— Eli Stokols (@EliStokols) March 3, 2020
Sanders urged Trump to “stay out of the Democratic primary” and to “worry about the coronavirus.”
He did not answer the actual question.
(He's keeping his powder dry.) The fish still rots from the head. Bernie Bros like Bernie for the same reason MAGA Trumpers like Trump. QED.
