"Get up"?

Can we talk about this get-up? (And I use the Southern intonation of “get-up” for y’all channeling my departed grandmother.)

I can't decide if the funniest part of this is the guy who thinks he should be taken seriously for dressing like this, or all the responses that key off Wilson's comment that "get up" (or, pronounced correctly, "git up," but there are two intonations for that, one being the noun usage, the other being the verb, as in your father standing over your bed and telling you to "git up") as if it were a term lost from before the antebellum South.

Hell, I still use it; in both senses.  I know I'm older than Wilson, but I'm not as old as his grandmother.

But I still don't know what that guy thinks he's doin' in that git up.
