Unless Powell is guilty of misusing client funds (i.e., dipping into the escrow money), I doubt the Texas Bar will do shit. Scamming people on the internet is not yet a violation of the DR’s, I don’t think. It could be, but I don’t see them making the effort to make that case.Bar Association's are cartels: There to protect earnings, limit competition, and shield members from consequences. They are among the most powerful trade unions in the world.
