Nothing to see here; move along, people.Trump's lawyers argued yesterday that this was a normal political speech pic.twitter.com/Cph1Un7f3u

Absolutely no idea where the crowd got that idea, right? I mean, Trump used the word "peaceful" in his speech one time! Clearly they missed that; but is that Trump's fault? (As I type NPR is discussing this in a break from the trial, and pointing out Trump's lawyers will show video of politicians like the House Managers urging supporters to "fight" for what you believe, which is, of course, exactly the same thing and both-sides do it and just objective reporting....)I hadn't seen this video of Trump fans responding to his January 6 by yelling, "Take the Capitol!" and "Storm the Capitol!" pic.twitter.com/jcJTJJ3s7I

Coincidence. Pure coincidence. Also protected by the First Amendment. So nothing to see here.Trump’s political operation paid more than $3.5 million to Jan. 6 organizers https://t.co/cWMBHwDdiY

Also purely coincidental, and evidence of Democrats trying to weaponize politics by politicizing rallies. Or something.First really new fact I've heard: Delegate Plaskett said original permit for protest was for Jan 22 or 23, but that change to Jan 6 (date of certification) was made by or at behest of Trump. Would like more details, but if true, a key point.

Josh Hawley insists this will not change any minds in the Senate.👀👀👀 Del. Plaskett notes that a permit to march from the Ellipse to the Capitol was NOT authorized...until Trump got involved in planning

Wowowowow putting together the Trump followers running the Biden campaign bus off the road and Trump's repeated endorsement of it. So. Sick.

A president abusing his power in an attempt to overturn legitimate election results--seems impeachable to me. Even if he doesn't trigger a murderous insurrection. https://t.co/CxsKsJAP7g

Like I keep saying, this is really good stuff for a criminal prosecution. Picking a jury, on the other hand, may be a bit tougher."President Donald J. Trump ran out of non-violent options to retain power." - Rep. Ted Lieu.

House Managers are doing an excellent job today laying out that this was not one momentary speech or act by Trump, it was a deliberate, concerted, long-term effort to try to overturn the election results that culminated in the deadly insurrection when all else failed.
