Because I'm not quite sure how a commision with authority to actually do anything gets established without an act of Congress. And, frankly, McCarthy's objections are meaningless in the House. But even with 51 votes in the Senate, the GOP can kill it in the Senate with the filibuster (which, let's face it, isn't going anywhere).* So turning an old Nike slogan into political advice is not exactly the magic bullet you're looking for, here.7/ This is why the Democrats should stop negotiation over a January 6th commission and just freaking DO it.
