I was told I'd get the Sabine vaccine in sugar water but it was just a tiny paper cup of town water, yech. But it was over in a second. I had more fun getting the Covid-19 vaccine, had a few nice chats with some first-responders and nurses and volunteers. I wished I could have volunteered. I miss volunteering.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to find out why we got both Salk and Sabine vaccines. Questions I wish I'd thought to ask my mother but never did.
Well, and I took it because I was told to. And my parents told us to because they’d seen vaccines stop diseases they grew up with, many of which, like covid, left effects that lasted a lifetime.
ReplyDeleteAnd I knew people crippled from polio. I was happy to avoid that risk.
