Disconnect No. 1: what he said this suit will do, and what it actually does, are two very different things.Update: Lindell filed it today.

He's boasted that this suit will prompt the Supreme Court to overturn the election, 9-0. It won't, because 1) he sued private parties that don't have the power to do that even if the court ordered it and; 2) he's only seeking monetary damages. pic.twitter.com/aVTh9T1bJg
Disconnect No. 2: who signed off on this thing? That’s a whole mystery in itself, mostly the “why?” I remember feeling the burden and responsibility of putting my name to a pleading, even something as simple and boiler-plate as a Defendant’s Original Answer. For what it's worth, the complaint was signed by a partner at a big firm whose bio says he represents employers "exclusively in the areas of labor relations, employment law and workers' compensation."

Disconnect No. 3: There’s nothing new here, just Lindell insisting you finally accept the evidence he’s been pushing for months now. The same evidence that’s already been rejected more than once. He can’t believe the world doesn’t agree with him. He won’t accept that. No surprise he complains Dominion is abusing the courts with their lawsuit; he’s doing what he accuses the defendants of doing.Lindell's evidence that the 2020 election was rigged seems to consist almost entirely of a suggestion that you watch a video he posted online the other day in which he interviewed an anonymous "hacker." pic.twitter.com/78fRU85l3A

Yeah, this is going bad rapidly. This seems to have been that partner's page on the firm's website:The Barnes & Thornburg partner who signed the ludicrous Mike Lindell complaint is reportedly no longer with the firm—they say he "didn’t receive 'firm authorization' for the suit and the firm is immediately withdrawing as local counsel." https://t.co/Gkh6sHujv8

ETTD still holds true. And if you're wondering why, behold the power of social media:https://t.co/oFtPAgW6iI pic.twitter.com/s8ZaH4TPxE

And that's well deserved. Not only did @BTLawNews @BTLawLE @BTLawTrade @BTLawDC sign up for a morally repugnant assault on American democracy, *but they did a craptastic legal job doing it*. In-house counsel thus gets to stay away for both moral and practical reasons

Let me be as clear as I possibly can: If I saw this quality of work from @BTLawNews @BTLawLE @BTLawTrade @BTLawDC on ANY case - even pro-bono representation of literal saints - I'd advise any client who asked to run away, not walk. This is capital-S shoddy on substance.
