We usually think the divide is forced, not chosen. What about when it is chosen?
Can’t help people who don’t want to help themselves. But can we be a community with them?
Maybe it’s not democracy that’s at stake.
We made a big mistake by putting freedom ahead of responsibility to each other, an expression of equality, doing to others what we would have done to us. It's ironic that freedom is a slogan that is so useful to the most insane of fascism. Surely it's too vague without considering the consequences of it as part of its evaluation.
