Sending In The Clowns 🤡

In interviews last year, I was asked for my thoughts on the general state of politics. I said something hypothetical that was somewhat borne out today:

If a foreign terrorist attack were to happen in the current era, unlike 2001, it would rip the country apart, not unify it.

Hawley’s not ripping the country apart; mostly because nobody notices him.

More Marines died under Reagan in Lebanon; more Americans died on 9/11. Still more Americans didn’t call for Reagan or Bush to resign. Hawley and his ilk are not a danger to the republic. They’re clowns 🤡.

Besides, the enemy of my enemy is still my enemy:
