It always sounded like something my father would say. Circa 1965. I loved my father. But he wasn’t a brilliant satirist. Either.
The obit lists him with Nora Ephron, Michael Kinsley and Calvin Trillin, saying their byline made him tingle with anticipation. I'd more anticipate humor that wasn't funny.
