...of flattery.Hillary Clinton using a private email server received saturation coverage. Trump ripping up documents was a Sunday evening story when it was first reported in 2018. https://t.co/qop4Gm4na8

Hillary Clinton’s e-mails were a non-story until Trump started beating that drum. The media reported more on Trump talking about it than on the facts themselves. Because Trump kept talking about it. They are rather predictable that way; and the situation is unlikely to change.
By contrast, no one outside of Twitter seems terribly interested in Trump’s latest, garbled statements about Pence. If they were, and repeated them ad nauseum, they would probably have more impact. I suppose we should be grateful for small favors.
So, should we light a candle, curse the darkness, or start imitating the Republicans? The way to fight Trump is to become Trump? To fight the GOP, we must become the GOP? Who will be our Gym Jordan, our MTG?
Frankly, in the whole of the travesty that was the Trump administration, tearing up documents is still pretty small beer.
I think I’ll buy some more candles 🕯.
