Again, with feeling: how does the U.S. negotiate with Russia when we don’t have a dog in this fight? Biden has worked relentlessly to be in harmony with NATO. That’s why even Sweden, Finland, and Switzerland (!) are on-board. Todd even interviewed the Secretary General of NATO before he interviewed Sen. Murphy. But throughout the program Todd assumes there are only two parties here: Putin and Biden.
Chuck Todd asked Sen. Chris Murphy why chemical weapons use in Ukraine by Russia is not a “red line” that would lead to a no-fly zone or something even more aggressive. He also wonders why Biden would negotiate with a “war criminal.”
Why does Chuck Todd want to start WWIII?
He follows up with Liz Cheney who, chip off the old block that she is, says we should be ready to fight Russia directly. So Chuck follows up asking whether we should negotiate territorial gains for Russia in return for peace. Except for a reference to Russia’s nukes, no discussion or even concern with the possibility of a third (and final) world war.
Is it because Liz Cheney is more willing to go to war than Chris Murphy?
In the panel, Todd claims Murphy and Cheney are ready to go to war. It’s flabbergasting, frankly. The entire panel, discussing Biden’s comments, wonders why we don’t go to war. I mean, Biden said mean things about Putin! He needs to put his money where his mouth is. If Biden calls Putin a war criminal, the only possible follow up is war! Maybe Chuckie Todd and the rest of them should stop and consider what Putin has said AND DONE about our President, Joe Biden. I'd count everything Trump said and did in that because it's clear that he was Putin's puppet. And Chuckie and the rest of them had little problem with any of it.
