The Supreme Court leak looks, smells, and tastes like a giant kayfabe. Professional wrestling. It's not that I have some secret insight into the Court.

It's that I'm a damn anthropologist of the right wing media ecosystem in which I operated for decades.

By 7am ET today, the usual suspects on the right-wing media gulag were on EXACTLY the same outrage "HOW DARE YOU SIR!" tone and message.

This decision is entirely and nakedly political. The very opposite of what a court opinion should be.

Forget about the “death of democracy.” The absolute politicization of the Court: that’s the enduring and damning crisis of our time.
