The door should have automatically unlocked for him."Around 1 p.m. police were dispatched to the school for a report of a parent armed with a gun who was trying to get inside, apparently in an effort to stop a potential active shooter." https://t.co/2kecoGkUWF

(There was a robbery near the school, by a man with a hammer (not a gun). The school went into lockdown, as is normal; mostly so the suspect won’t try to hide in a classroom or closet.
The suspect never got that far, nor was the parent still at school when police arrived. Which is good: carrying a gun on school grounds violates federal law. It can also get you shot. Which would have added tragedy to the farce.
We need to get guns out of our schools, and get military grade weapons out of the hands of everybody not in the military. We don't need any more guns at schools. We need far fewer.)
