Funny you never hear politicians compare security to military bases. Maybe it’s because the military practices very strict gun control.

Police went to check on the relative and found him dead along with his four grandchildren at a rural cabin in Centerville in Leon County. They say Lopez killed the family, taking a rifle, handgun and truck from the property, the Houston Chronicle reported.

This family was shot to death because they had guns. I’m not saying they shouldn’t have had them; but the idea that guns protect you is a lie. A dangerous lie. The killer was an escaped convict who might have killed them all without a gun. But the guns certainly weren’t protection.
