This is a minor win for Trump’s team, because now they don’t have to essentially disavow their dubious claims that the FBI planted evidence.

But this doesn’t change the difficult position Trump is in. He still has to take a position regarding every seized document. https://t.co/Mi8BnqP97F

If we weren't there already for Judge Cannon... https://t.co/5S7BnnoB84
Hey, #LitigationDisasterTourists Judge Loose Cannon is at it again, apparently completely unchastened by the shellacking she received from the 8th circuit and once again handing Trump everything he asks for.https://t.co/gMix0tOs7A

Trump: I need a special master
— Elizabeth Joh (@elizabeth_joh) September 29, 2022
Cannon: you got it
Trump: I mean this guy
Cannon: you got it
[special master does his job]
Trump: no not like that
Cannon: you got it https://t.co/7O37KwZgdu
I’m a little confused there. Trial judges always work unilaterally. There’s only the one judge making rulings. And the election really isn’t an issue, as Trump is not on the ballot. Sure, you can argue Trump is influential in the election, but you can always say a politician is influential in some way at some time.Judge Cannon unilaterally rewrites HER OWN deadlines to make sure that her Trumpy doesn't have to commit until after the election.

Holy hell this woman has no shame. pic.twitter.com/z68m3A2Sz7
Typically judges appoint a Special Master because they don’t want to micromanage a particular issue.

While Cannon overruled Dearie today, he is managing this on a day-to-day basis and I am not yet convinced that she will tightly manage his work. https://t.co/2AOtFgjn9H
