I saw this and thought "WTF?" And then Twitter came to my rescue. My first question was not "What are they doing?" My first question was: “How do they establish jurisdiction in Florida state court over the NYAG?

This is not the answer to that question.

No, I’m not going to explain jurisdiction. I’ll just say you can’t sue someone in another state in your state just because it’s convenient to you. Which is what Trump is doing.  Then it gets worse: Let’s pause to put this in context: I can’t offer a definitive legal analysis, but it looks like Trump ran out of options and grabbed Florida law on trusts to get jurisdiction over AG James in Florida.

No, that’s not going to work.
