The odds of Congress not changing improve. (The Democrat is turning out a Republican incumbent.)"The Seattle Times projects Gluesenkamp Perez as the winner, as an analysis shows Kent would need 73% of the remaining votes to catch up."

Although my immediate reaction was: “First it was alcohol…”Thanks to President Biden’s infrastructure bill, remote locations on the Navajo Nation reservation are receiving electricity — for the first time, ever. pic.twitter.com/3Wmu0mbX7a

Some races were a surprise. This overwhelming win was not a surprise. Worth looking at the polling over the last six weeks. https://t.co/Hmj2QQnuD1

This "strategy" failed miserably. It only makes sense if you use the fake polls to challenge the results (which still wouldn’t get the courts to overturn an election, so I use “strategy” in the loosest way possible). But that only works if incumbents are losing. An incumbent can (try to) threaten not to leave office, or use the prestige of incumbency as a bully pulpit. Losing challengers are just whiners everyone soon gets tired of.3/ October. The legit polls consistently showed Murray with about a 10 margin and sometimes more. To be clear, this isn’t a criticism of 538. It’s just a way to illustrate what polls created the campaign narrative. It was basically all junk polls sponsored by Trump groups.

Truth is much stranger than fiction.we criticize hollywood for lazy tropes but our two main antagonists right now is a former kgb agent with a penchant for poisoning and an emerald mine heir who wants to live on mars. if these were bond villains they’d be dismissed as caricature

Most people don’t care about what the media tell them to think. That’s usually portrayed as “people don’t pay enough attention to us as we argue about politics!’ But in general, they pay the attention they should. Especially to the poorly characterized Bond villains. 🦹♂️Dems hanging onto the Senate in this environment is one of the most remarkable political stories.

And it’s largely thanks to voters under 30, women, and black voters.
Remember that when the media unleashes a *wave* of old, white, ossified men to tell you what to think.
