I think coverage that still ascribes he has near magic powers of renewal is either bad faith or just hedging bets. He's been raging like a lunatic loser for 2 years and the most tests of his power at the ballot box have been spectacular fails. The MAGA faithful is shrinking.

The Lovely Wife and I were talking about the classified documents found in a storage unit near Mar-A-Lago.  I compared it to the "socks" case, where Clinton knew the tapes of his interviews for a book were private property, but undoubtely had a team of lawyers scrutinizing everything that wasn't clothing before it was removed from the White House.  Trump, on the other hand, declared everything upstairs "MINE!" and ordered it hauled off.  He is, I said, a two-year old, who thinks everything he sees is his, and who cares only about "Me! Me! Me!"

And yeah, I think the majority of America is sick of it.  MAGA still likes it?  Divide them up among the fifty states, how many votes do you get?

And, of course, how many voters in America, period, give a wet snap about Trump's "political philosophy"? Not even MAGA cares about that.

Oh, and the MAGA faithful have been shrinking since 2016.  Trump has never won, or presided over a winning election for his party, since then.

I wonder how different the next year would go if the most notable reporters on the Trump beat instead of constantly waiting for him to pull off his latest trick treated him like a Vegas low rent afternoon show act.
