The State of Texas has spent over $2 billion on a boondoggle which has produced nothing but failure. The deployment is an expensive and appallingly inhumane fail. https://t.co/DRqW4urH5j

The last legislative session began with a proposed funding increase for Texas public schools of $4.5 billion. That was whittled down, but it doesn’t matter because, in the end, no increase in funding passed at all.
And while Greg Abbott talked about calling a special session to try again to pass school vouchers. No mention, of course, or concern for, school funding.
But he’s going to continue to bear down on the National Guard pointlessly “guarding” the border. That, the state of Texas can always find money for.
We have our priorities.
