The trial is in Georgia either way. Larger, more rural, jury pool in Federal court. But Georgia law still applies. And if the federal judge takes his case, but decides he waived the 5th in getting there, where is the victory?Why did all the lawyer commentators get it wrong predicting Meadows wouldn’t testify? Because the risks of cross-examination are huge. Why did Meadows decide to testify? Because they’ve concluded the consequences of trial in Georgia are more huge.
