Giuliani doesn’t come close to any of them; except that his fall was there from the beginning, too. Which makes us reflect, not on the tragedy of his fall, but the tragedy of our blindness to the true nature of his character.
Falstaff in his drunken debauchery, Bottom as an ass, . . . I'd fit in some of King John too but that's kind of obscure. It's not really "Shakespeare" but the brothel owners in Pericles, too.
