It doesn’t surprise me that a handful of people stick to Trump like cockle burrs. 

What surprises me is that we continue to treat those people as the most important on the planet.

Academics should seek “to better understand why certain political leaders — [Biden] chiefly among them — are able to maintain such steadfast followings even in the face of scandals and resentment from…those across the political aisle” would be far better.
