Why do I feel like there's so many more of these scare stories than post indictment, "A few kooks actually showed up" stories. https://t.co/kdamm2wjiq

Be there, be mild.

"Mild" does not grab eyeballs. I watched NBC sit for an hour or more (seemed like an eternity) covering Trump's arraignment. NBC's premier news announcer (hand to God I can't remember the man's name) looked like Diane Feinstein at a Senate hearing trying to remember his name, while the women (they all seemed to be women, I'm just observing, not making subtle commentary) talked on and on and on because they had nothing for the cameras. Never once saw the guy in the Trump suit, and occasionally they'd cut to another poor soul standing outside Prettyman (with the courthouse name on the building in the background so you'd know why you were watching) talking about what had happened in the courthouse 15 minutes earlier. And Trump entered and left underground, so the best they could do was an "OJ watch" as the caravan finally drove away. That this isn’t the overwhelming narrative yet says a lot. https://t.co/ngRTJBeYro

Yeah, NBC didn't show that, either; more's the pity. But Trump did attract this guy so it wasn't a complete washout for him. pic.twitter.com/a2HZg5gicY

Outrage sells almost better than bleeding. The more delusional a MAGA voter take on Trump’s indictments, the greater chance cable news will let them spew it unchallenged.

Yup.The degree to which the press is buying into, "Actually it's good for a candidate to be facing multiple trials" is... unsurprising.
— Schooley (@Rschooley) August 4, 2023
These are the challenges that lie before us. And this one is just another swift metaphorical kick in the nuts for TFG:Can the press normalize the idea that Trump could go to prison as effectively as they normalized that he was qualified to run for president?

But before you go, since we are talking about press narratives:“Magistrate Judge Moxila Upadhyaya addressed him as "Mr. Trump" — which "irked" him. He prefers "Mr. President."”—CNN

I just don't understand why so many people are so negative about the economy....Bad economic news? A1 for days.
