but this is the way you wear cowboy boots. That’s a normal cowboy boot heel (the lower, regular heel, is a “roper”), and ordinarily you wear longer jeans (or slacks, or a suit; well, in Texas you do) because the boots ain’t oxfords.

DeSantis probably wants the slight lift of boots, but he’s wearing them right.
