Tuberville says that he is blocking promotions because women in the military may try to get abortions after birth under the current policy.

And CANNOT read the electoral tea leaves.

Remember this, where Trump is desperately distancing himself from the crowd on J6? Yeah, this is how that’s gonna work out:

In new audio released tonight by Jonathan Karl, Trump claimed that he wanted to go down to the Capitol on J6 to stop the riot but Secret Service wouldn’t let him

Here’s the problem: there’s plenty of evidence Trump didn’t want the riot to stop. He can only really contradict that evidence by testifying; which he dare not do. In fact, this is what Trump told Karl in 2021:

"I was going to. Then Secret Service said, 'you can't.' Then by the time - I would have. And then when I got back, I saw - I wanted to go back, I was thinking about going back to stop the problem. Doing it myself. But Secret Service didn't like idea too much. But I could have done that. And you know what, I would have been very well received."

We all know what Trump actually did, and how long it took him to issue any kind of call for calm, and how many people will testify to their futile efforts to get him to act.  IIRC, we even have all the takes made to get a video where Trump actually called for the rioters to stop.

I’m sure his attorneys aren’t the only ones wondering what story Trump would tell in 2024. You can see why they’re worried about the evidence, even without knowing all the evidence DOJ has.
