What isn't happening that needs to, however, is that people should make it unacceptable for him to continue.
"Why is it that even after everybody pointed out those were Hitleresque and Mussoliniesque statements, he kept doing them?" Maddow asked. "These are things he has tried out in the last few weeks and is now repeating them and putting them in writing and making them part of his regular speeches? Why? Because they are getting a good response. A good response, a response that he likes. Not just the outrage of his critics which he likes, but the pleasure and support of the people who like him the most."
She cited a poll from the "Des Moines Register" over the weekend, that asked Iowa Republicans about Trump's recent statements along these lines, the poll asked whether these comments from Trump would make you more or less likely to support him. They loved it. "
On his claim that immigrants are poisoning the blood of America, which is straight out of "Mein Kampf," on the vermin in the United States that needs to be rooted out, which comes straight out of the playbook of Mussolini and Hitler, even on his pledge to build giant camps to hold millions of people in this country, on those statements, Iowa Republican voters say as of this weekend that those statements from Trump make them more likely to vote for him, not less."
The reason that they sound familiar is that they work and people reuse them, Maddow said.
What can be done to make Trump’s comments unacceptable? Aside from the fact that they…are? Do we arrest Trump?
No; we’ve done that, four times now.
Do we put him in jail?
Can’t do that without due process.
Isn’t the answer in her comments?
“Because they are getting a good response. A good response, a response that he likes. Not just the outrage of his critics which he likes, but the pleasure and support of the people who like him the most."This isn’t a legal question; it’s simply a practical one. Because this is what the response to Trump’s comments looks like:

Politico also tried to track down Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) to ask for her opinion on the remarks given that she has taken a keen interest in condemning anti-Semitic remarks made by Ivy League college administrators, professors, and students.
"Unfortunately, Stefanik did not return multiple requests for comment from Politico yesterday about her reaction to the former president’s Hitlerian turn of phrase," the publication writes.

Congresswoman,” she said, “You're saying that's what you think he is saying. But he was pretty clear, he was saying that the immigrants that are coming in, he says that they are poisoning the blood of the nation.”
“He never said immigrants are poisoning, though,” Malliotakis said. “He didn't say the words immigrants, I think he was talking about Democratic policies.
Clearly frustrated, Phillip hit back: ”He was talking about people.”
Malliotakis then tried to explain that Trump really loves immigrants.
“He was married to immigrants,” she said. “He’s hired immigrants.”"Trump can’t hate blacks! He hires them as janitors!”
“We don’t have rooms in our hospitals, our schools. They go into classes. They don’t speak English. Nobody knows what to do. They have languages that nobody even knows. You have a lot of languages in this world. They have languages. Well, we don’t have any people that even understand or know those languages. They can’t teach them. They’re all over the place. We have classrooms in schools which are loaded up with people that don’t speak a word of English, and the schools are there and they have no idea what to do about it. It’s a very sick situation.”
