The Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight

Apparently those were Mace’s prepared remarks, so she made them even as Biden sat in the front row. I guess there wasn’t time to reload her teleprompter.
First of all, my first question is, who bribed Hunter Biden to be here today?" Mace said. "That's my first question."
"Second question, you are the epitome of white privilege coming into the Oversight Committee, spitting in our face, ignoring a Congressional subpoena to be deposed," she continued. "What are you afraid of? You have no balls to come up here."
At that point, a Democrat interrupted.
"Mr. Chairman, if the gentlelady wants to hear from Hunter Biden, we can hear from him right now, Mr. Chairman," the lawmaker said. "Let's take a vote and hear from Hunter Biden. What are you afraid of?"
"Hold on, hold on," committee chair James Comer (R-KY) said. "Order, order."
"Are women allowed to speak in here or no?" Mace asked.
"I'll interrupt the Chairman," the Democratic lawmaker shot back. "I don't know that he's a lady."
"I think that Hunter Biden should be arrested right here, right now and go straight to jail," Mace demanded. "Our nation is founded on the rule of law and the premise that the law applies equally to everyone."
After being interrupted again by Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Mace was allowed to finish her remarks.
"Yes, I'm looking at you, Hunter Biden, as I'm speaking to you," she told Biden. "You are not above the law at all."
And then it got funnier: Not sure why that matters to the Committee. But the networks cut away to listen to Hunter’s lawyer.
“They issued a subpoena for a behind-closed-doors deposition, a tactic that the Republicans have repeatedly misused in their political crusade to selective leak and mischaracterize what witnesses have said," Lowell said.
"Last fall [Oversight] chairman [James] Comer made an explicit offer that people like Hunter and -- give him the option to attend a deposition or a public hearing, whichever they chose. Hunter chose a hearing where Republicans could not distort, manipulate, or misuse that testimony."
"Honor and then ignoring that invitation and proving once again that they cared little about the truth and wanted only to, quote, 'move the needle of political support,' which was a quote chairman Comer confessed was his true purpose," Lowell added. "The Republican chairs today then are commandeering an unprecedented resolution to hold someone in contempt who has offered to publicly answer all their proper questions. The question there is what are they afraid of?"
Always a good time. See? An AOC-Jasmine Crockett-Moskowitz tag team match. The DNC should be putting this on pay-per-view. Jiminy Christmas, James Comer is an incompetent boob. I wonder if this is what did it: Eric Swallwell bats clean-up.
Commentary:
"The approach by Hunter Biden is clear, if you cannot win the process, win the story," Jolly continued. "And Hunter Biden knows, his legal team knows, he won't win the process. They don't have the votes. Republicans control the House. They want to hold Hunter Biden in contempt, and they want to impeach his father. What can he do? He can show the American people, Hunter Biden can, that he is present and available to answer questions, and in that way hopefully win the story."
Also, too, as well:
"It will help him in the court of public opinion and the real court," said Eisen before appearing on CNN. "Also vintage power play by my friend and his lawyer Abbe Lowell."
He certainly put the fox among the chickens. 😼
