I’m … not surprised. I had a feeling they’d split the baby somehow. Still, a $175m bond is a pretty substantial undertaking. https://t.co/23mEzumbBv

Non-lawyers are much more bloodthirsty than lawyers. That of course assumes Trump can post the $175m. But if he can’t, the State isn’t any worse off than it otherwise would have been—it would have to chase Trump around for the full amount ….

This is actually better than Trump not posting a bond and the court lowering the amount of disgorgement two years from now.Yet again, @realDonaldTrump gets special treatment with his own private system of justice. The NY Appeals Court has decided to give Trump more time to pay less money by reducing his bond from $454M to $175 and giving him 10 days to get the money. This makes absolutely no sense. pic.twitter.com/ZFfI0ibyjI

When Letitia James first brought the fraud lawsuit against Trump she was seeking $250 million. But then the idiot screwed up his own trial. Now Trump has to put up $175 million with another $285 million hanging over his head after appeal. And they are spinning this as a win.
