The Fourth Estate takes its responsibilities seriously. π³Per the hallway press pool over the morning recess, Trump didn't take the bait after Justice Merchan's threat of incarceration:
— Adam Klasfeld (@KlasfeldReports) May 6, 2024
"Trump walked into the courtroom at about 11:35 a.m. and did not respond when a pooler shouted: 'Mr. Trump, what do you think of jury?'"
Honestly, reporters really don't need to be baiting Trump like this. Threats against jurors, witnesses, and judicial staff are not some game. https://t.co/f3WGjMxpjf

I don’t know what journalists this actually “works for”:I'm really tired of these propagandists and Russian dupes repeating the same gimmick over and over again.

Sadly it works for large swaths of stupid journalists. pic.twitter.com/Bs1ZayLU14
But Miller and Fox are sure desperate to find some way to say the laws don’t apply to Trump. Maybe because they see the handwriting on the wall. π€Faulkner: What is the first crime? What is it they are showing us? Without that, how can he get a fair trial if he doesn't really know what the crime is against him? I don't know how you defend that. pic.twitter.com/dazc31fQmv

Unlike when Judge Kaplan in a civil case threatened to jail Trump, and Trump responded, "I would love it," he was silent here, albeit head-shaking. https://t.co/FvUCmObXm3

Trump may rant and rave, but he understands who holds the whip hand.
Tell me that all you know about trials is what you’ve seen on TeeVee. A “star witness” is a TV/newspaper term. There’s no such thing in real life. It’s too bad Turley wasn’t around doing media on this stuff back in the 90s when the Feds were taking down the mob. https://t.co/RmkWvchltO

Trump trial is over for today & this is my recap of the day’s events. Today demonstrated that this case doesn’t rise & fall on the credibility of Michael Cohen & Stormy, as the DA continues to introduce strong corroborative evidence before they testify. https://t.co/GzcXnIrLQT

Trump: This judge is giving me a gag order and said you'll go to jail if you violate it. And frankly, our constitution is much more important than jail. It's not even close. I'll do that sacrifice any day. pic.twitter.com/TkbnLajOSt

Wait for it...If he thought it was going to be finished today, why did he make such a big deal out of needing a day off for Barron’s graduation on May 17? https://t.co/aS8MTPgMd8

What a dilemma! The MN GOP just announced today that Donald Trump’s campaign believes that MN is in play and he will now be the keynote speaker at their Lincoln Day dinner on May 17. But that also happens to be the same night as Barron’s graduation. pic.twitter.com/KilX8GXsX4

If they don’t promise taco trucks on every corner, I’ll have no choice but to vote for RFK, Jr.Ingraham on Biden 2nd Term: Yeah, that's pretty much the agenda. A relentless push for abortion on demand. an end to gas powered cars and stoves and cannabis shops on every street corner. And then throw in some unconstitutional student loan forgiveness pic.twitter.com/6GqGcfR0mQ

I don't recall which of the MSNBC former prosecutors said that the prosecution isn't looking forward to the cross-examinations of Cohen and Stormy so they're making the case solidly before they have to put them on. That's hardly in the realm of stardom. not in show biz terms. I won't say what I conclude the chances of him being convicted in this trial are mainly because I"m superstitious about jinxing things.
