Me: You know, it's been a while since I've noticed any physical ailments. I've got this whole "life in your 40s" thing nailed.

I’ve had foot problems all my life (never serious, just the ills that flesh is heir to), so I figured it would go away.
When it didn’t, I went to the doctor. Who found two broken bones in my foot. No idea how I broke them; no idea when. I’m still walking (and why is that? 🤷🏻♂️). But the surgery is being planned.
Getting old is not for the faint of heart. And life is weird.
