Hakeem Jeffries on MTP: "Can the extreme MAGA Republicans point to a single issue where they've actually made progress for the American people? A single issue? They cannot. And so as a result, what we see are conspiracy theories being spewed at the direction of Donald Trump." pic.twitter.com/BTAw3Inb7v

So the MTP panel this morning made sure to point out people were not happy with the economy (well, the guy from the Hoover Institute said so. Irony alert.🚨), which is bad news for Joe Biden. And down ballot Democrats are viewed more favorably than Biden, which is bad news for Joe Biden. And agreed Biden should not talk too much about Trump’s felony conviction (if at all) because that would be bad news for Joe Biden.
And yet despite having Tom Cotton on, who could only rant about Trump’s conviction (spoiler alert: “It was rigged!”) and getting Hakeem Jeffries to say he’d accept a reversal of the conviction, if that happened (and I quote: “Yes.”), and Cotton refusing to because Trump is an innocent man…
Nobody on the panel even noticed the entire GOP platform, down to dog catcher, is: Protect Trump.
Jen Psaki pointed out Democrats want to run on abortion and birth control and IVF, but nobody disagreed that Republicans are running on: Protect Trump.
I just don’t see that winning friends and influencing people to the polls, up or down the GOP ballot.
As I was saying...Raju: Is it a good idea for the Republican party to nominate a convicted felon?

McCarthy: The answer is 100% yes. pic.twitter.com/o4ogwFY3sh
If you listen to any Trump interview or speech, every single one is about himself, his grievances, his victimhood, and his vow to get vengeance on his enemies. Nothing about policy or the American people. I don’t believe that’s what most Americans are looking for in a president.
