Well, true, I’m sure this is what the SCOTUS majority wants (I’d say it was too close to a conspiracy theory, but that’s ignoring too much public evidence of corruption). The irony is: be careful what you ask for; you might get it.It was always clear that SCOTUS had prevented a verdict before the election.

Trump’s trials were never a silver bullet that would end his candidacy once and for all. Only the election will do that. Trump won’t win, and the only thing that goes away in November is his fundraising. The trials will persist, but he won’t be able to pay for them.
He’s going to end up wishing he’d let them happen.
