There actually are rules for this:The Times has a serious problem. One storyline into which any set of facts gets jammed, basically no matter what. I didn’t know how deep the sickness went. pic.twitter.com/CgMXLquesq

With Biden out of the race (same situation as if he’d died, basically), the majority of delegates pledged support for Harris. Because they chose to. Majority rules in a democracy, right? Most elected Democratic officials didn’t endorse Harris until the news of delegate support.FYI, proposed Rules for the 2024 DNC give potential Dem presidential candidates until next Tuesday to gather pledges of support from at least 300 delegates (out of ~4000), no more than 50 from one state, one pledge per-delegate. Timing of roll call depends on if it's contested.

🥥🌴Not a single party leader or party delegate is telling a Democratic leader they can not run for President. So, for the crowd saying the process to choose our nominee is undemocratic, please know our party rules allow any candidate to run. They can go to the DNC and follow… pic.twitter.com/7fK8GDjs0b

Homans is a media whore, he knows that his bosses want those Trump tax-giveaways extended. That's the Sulzberger family motive in steering that rag the way it goes. The NYT is a Republican-fascist rag with a clueless lazy nominally Democratic readership. It's like I was back when I was still an idiot sending donations to NPR and its Maine affiliate.
