You’re welcome to read the letter. The tl;dr is a third stab at forcing Merchan to recuse because Harris is now Trump’s presumptive political opponent, and Merchan donated to Democrats (Harris?) and Biden’s withdrawal changed…everything?BREAKING: Trump has tried for the third time to force the recusal of Judge Juan Merchan in the Manhattan criminal case

DA bodyslams the effort as “ vexatious and frivolous” & rightly so

Basically, third bite at the apple, π and the Appellate Division has already ruled this is NBD, so….
Trump is spending lots and lots and LOTS of money on shit like this, as if he’ll always have all the money he needs to fight the government. I’ll be honest, I’m not even sure the immunity ruling is going to help him that much. I don’t think it affects the Florida case at all, and if the D.C. case has to be slimmed down, I think it still goes forward. This case and the Georgia case are unaffected, unless Roberts decides calling a state SOS to ask to conjure up 12,000 votes is a “core Presidential function.” At which point I think Roberts would be the first Justice removed from the bench by impeachment. And by the time a state court case gets to the Supremes, Trump will be broke. Or bankrupt; same difference.
Trump starts running out of money when the fundraising dries up, which will be before November. He faces half a billion dollars in judgments. How does he pay for that AND all the lawyers,,especially with the court monitor asking for more help to plumb Trump’s business dealings?
