“These Things That Pass For Knowledge, I Don’t Understand”

Ex-Google exec says degrees in law and medicine are a waste of time because they take so long to complete that AI will catch up by graduation

This would be the same AI that is currently creating fictional case law in legal briefs and the AI that can be reprogrammed with the “entire corpus of human knowledge” to go full Nazi?

And where do the surgeons come from? The dentists? The judges? Who teaches the police officers the law they have to follow?

I’m just scratching the surface.

Tell you don’t know your ass from a hole in the ground without…well, get AI to finish that sentence for you. It might even fool you into thinking it understands what the phrase means.

(And yes, insult on injury, we’re supposed to take this guy seriously because he’s an ex-Google executive. 🤦‍♂️)

  1. Yesterday I clicked onto an AI generated Youtube about Pope Leo, claiming he'd abolished eleven ancient rituals of the Catholic Church, the first one was Corpus Christi processions in which a consecrated host in an elaborate monstrance is carried at the head of a procession, it claimed that Leo had condemned them in rather elaborate languages. It took me less than a minute to find a June 23, 2025 article in the National Catholic Reporter that began:

In carrying Jesus through the city streets in a Corpus Christi procession, Christians are called to be witnesses of his love, sharing both their material and spiritual gifts, Pope Leo XIV said.

A procession with the Eucharist is a way to present Jesus "to the hearts of those who believe, so that they may believe more firmly" and "to the hearts of those who do not believe, so that they may reflect on the hunger present within them and the bread that alone can satisfy it," the pope said in his homily June 22.

If a man who acts as his own lawyer has a fool for a client, one who has AI acting as his lawyer has to be a blithering idiot - such as the lawyers who work at the DoJ and for the likes of Mike Lindell.

And one that would use AI as a physician will likely be a dead idiot.
